My method of working …

“My method of working is characterized by a beginning, a moment in which I notice something – mostly in nature. It is followed by a silent dialogue inside myself, with the certainty, that there will be a moment, which urges me to act. This often takes weeks, sometimes months.

Slowly inside of myself, shapes, materials, colours are developing, so that at the beginning I am sure which materials I will use. Then – what happens – often is explosive, but basically only a continuation of the preceding process, with different just painting techniques. Possibly that is why I do not hesitate one moment, to work on canvas and to play with unusual combinations – such as soils, varnishes and cement.

My artistic expression is only very partially checkable, it ranges between a sphere of uncertainty and changeability – it is like life itself. For me acting as an artist solely happens in the opening and dedication toward appearance and existence. Then my personal pictures do not exist any more, only what is expressed through me and wants to be materialized – it finally takes shape. Nothing more, but nothing less. The trace left in me is simple silence and joy.“
